South Dublin County Volunteer Managers Forum

South Dublin County Volunteer Centre would like to invite you to the re-launch of the South Dublin County Volunteer Managers forum where there will be a presentation at 11am by Colette Gallagher on
- How to better advertise your volunteer opportunities and recruit volunteers on I-VOL - the national volunteering database.
The session will cover
- Why we need to advertise our volunteer opportunities
- What to include in a opportunity
- Practical demonstration on I-VOL, the national online database of volunteer opportunities.
This will be followed by tea and coffee and is an opportunity for those who manage volunteers to come together to discuss issues and share ideas relating to recruiting and managing volunteers.

Dublin Volunteer Management Seminar
Join us and your colleagues for this year’s Dublin Volunteer Management Seminar (DVMS), as part of National Volunteering Week (16th- 22nd May). Now in its fifth year, the Seminar offers a unique opportunity to network with peers and gain insights, knowledge and best practice around volunteer management.
Topics will include commencement of the Garda Vetting legislation presented by the Sergeants Jim Gould and Marissa Costello from the National Vetting Bureau, impact of volunteering on ageing populationand importance of intergenerational approach, as well as examples of some highly succesful volunteer programmes.
