Welcome to the first of our daily blogs on A Week in the Life of South Dublin County Volunteer Corps.

The Corps was set up in 2011 as a joint initiative between the Volunteer Centre and South Dublin County Council to facilitate volunteers to participate in once off events across the county.

Its been a busy year for us already (with 16 events so far) and this week is no different..

We’re back in the office this morning after a great day yesterday at the Sportsworld Running Club annual 5 mile race in Bushy Park, Terenure in aid Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Our volunteers were out in force to help with stewarding and handing out refreshments – well done to all!

Planning ahead now for the rest of the week, including our Open Day at our Clondalkin office on Wednesday (10am to 12pm) and our Outreach event at The Square, Tallaght on Friday from 10am to 4pm.
