It is almost the weekend of National Volunteering Week and we have another heartwarming story of someone volunteering and feeling connected.

Here is Val’s story of volunteering in an Arch Club and feeling like part of a big family

“Arch Clubs are voluntary social clubs for people with additional needs. We meet one evening a week in a local school, and then throughout the year we have parties, go to shows, and go on trips. There is always something special going on at the Arch Club because the members find enjoyment in everything and appreciate the people in the Club. It is a wonderful club to be a part of, you get to meet new people, be a part of something unique, and have a lot of fun along the way. You are always made to feel welcome in the Arch Club and always greeted with a smile. The volunteers and members of the club are like a really big extended family, and I wouldn’t miss it. We obviously had to take a break during the pandemic, and it really left a void in my week, I am delighted to be back spending time with everyone and making more memories.
