We are pleased to bring you details of two trainings coming up for volunteer managers:

  • Unconscious Bias training Tuesday 05 November from 10.30am to 1.30pm, at Rua Red, Tallaght.
  • Fundamentals of Volunteer Engagement on Tuesday 12 November from 10am to 4pm at Rua Red, Tallaght

There are also a number of current online training opportunities available through Volunteer Ireland and the National Network of Volunteer Centres.

New Training: Unconscious Bias on Tuesday 05 November

As part of our Volunteer Managers Forum events, please join us on International Volunteer Managers Day for our new good practice training in Unconscious Bias.

The training will take place on Tuesday 05 November from 10.30am to 1.30pm, at Rua Red, Tallaght.

The training has been designed to help organisations recognise and address different unconscious biases that may affect the recruitment, management, and engagement of multicultural volunteers within their organisations and, ensure a more inclusive and diverse environment.

Fundamentals of Volunteer Engagement on Tuesday 12 November

Fundamentals of Volunteer Engagement is a 2 module course designed to meet the needs of volunteer managers in a changing world. This training will be held at Rua Red, Tallaght from 10 am to 4.00pm on Tuesday 12 November .

About the course

This one day course (two modules) is for organisational attendees who have responsibility for managing or leading volunteers. This can include those are new to the area of volunteer leadership or who wish to improve their skill set. The modules will be delivered by Colette Gallagher from South Dublin County Volunteer Centre.

Places at this training are limited so early booking is advisable. Maximum 2 places per organisation. Tea and coffee will be provided and there will be a free 45 minute break for lunch.
