Volunteers play a key role in making events a success. They can fulfil a range of roles such as registering and welcoming attendees, signposting, managing refreshments or capturing video footage of your event allowing you to promote the work you do.

This course has been designed to support you to develop the skills and knowledge to effectively recruit, manage and make the most of event volunteering.

The training will be held will be held on Wednesday 12 February from 9.30am to 1.00pm at Tessa House, St John of God Housing Association, Block D, Gleann na hEorna, Cookstown Way, Dublin, Tallaght, Co. Dublin and will be delivered by Colette Gallagher (South Dublin County Volunteer Centre) and Stuart Garland (Volunteer Ireland).

This is a free training training being offered as a partnership between South Dublin County Council and the Volunteer Centre.  The training forms part of a wider support package being developed for voluntary sector event organisers across South Dublin County.   More details will follow over the next few months but in the meantime, we would invite any organisation planning an event this year to attend the training.
