As National Volunteering Week enters its third day we are honoured to present yet another compelling volunteer story. Join us as we share Markuss’s story

“I started volunteering last October. I wanted to do something after I finished sixth year so I decided to do volunteering. My mom suggested it to me since I would be home most of the time. It has been the most intriguing experience yet so far, helping kids with disabilities and working with other volunteers of similar ages as myself has been so far fun.

I was not sure where to start but I chose to go to Coolstars Kids Club because I wanted to help kids with disabilities. In the first club meeting I was scared, but excited as well, to do a new experience but staff were nice and the other volunteers were also nice.I have so far been enjoying my volunteering and I’ll continue volunteering for as long as I can.”
