Volunteering has been enshrined as one of our core values since we opened our doors at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) in 1998 and in the base hospitals prior to 1998 with the tea bar in the Adelaide hospital.
Volunteering opportunities within TUH is perceived to have many benefits in strengthening the links between the hospital and the community, adding value to patient care and providing our volunteers with a vehicle for socialisation, work in the community and also personal development.
