Welcome to the May issue of our newsletter.
As we turn a major corner and start leaving all things Covid behind, this month we are celebrating National Volunteering Week (16th – 22nd May).
This week is dedicated to the contribution volunteers make and the impact it has on our communities. Events will take place across the country covering everything from award nights, training, recognition and wellbeing.
Volunteers have kindly shared their experiences with us in South Dublin and we will feature a story a day on our website and all social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin
To start off the week here in South Dublin, we have a great event in Tallaght Library.
We are organising a volunteer fair where community groups and organisations who are looking for volunteers will have stands in the library so you can find out about opportunities in your locality and speak to the organisations present.
The volunteer centre staff will also be on hand to discuss suitable roles with you.
